SEASON 12 TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS
Big Money, Bigger Wagers & One Very Clear Champion
The Tournament of Champions showed up exactly how it should. Big scores, big swings, and teams that actually knew what they were doing… mostly. And at the top, one team separated themselves when it mattered most.
Pa’s Peninsula Peeps (86 pts) took the title and the cash with a monster performance. They were already sitting strong at 66, then dropped a +20 final like it was nothing. Clean, confident, and absolutely championship-level trivia. $1,240 says it all.
PM Pausers (80 pts) kept it tight the entire game and made a strong +15 push in the final, but just couldn’t match that top-end firepower. Still walking away with $620, which softens the blow quite a bit.
Wolfpack (68 pts) played a steady game and added a +15 at the end to lock in third. Not flashy, but in a field like this, consistency pays.
DaNile (65 pts) and Cosmonauts (61 pts) both stayed competitive throughout, each adding +10 in the final. Strong showings, and just enough to crack the top tier and take home cash!
The Contenders
Regal Beagles (59 pts) had a solid run but played it safe with a 0 wager. In a normal night that works. In a tournament, that’s how you get passed.
Torranceal Downpour (56 pts) and Gently, Gently, Gently…Nice! (54 pts) both made modest final moves, but never quite found that extra gear needed to climb higher.
Casual Encounters (52 pts) and Tipsy Dick (52 pts) hovered in the middle and stayed respectable, but didn’t make a big enough push to threaten.
The Risky Business Section
Like a Deck of Cards (51 pts) was in a decent spot before a -5 final knocked them down. Not devastating, but definitely avoidable.
The Fleeting Beans (47 pts) and NeverNudes (46 pts) both kept things steady, but “steady” doesn’t win tournaments.
Sex Panther (45 pts) and Player 456 (44 pts) stayed in the mix but never made a real run.
One Hour Hotdogg (40 pts) had a rough mid-game dip and never recovered, while Hermosa Hillbillies (35 pts) just couldn’t keep pace.
The Tough Endings
Box Will Ferrell (29 pts) took a -8 in the final that erased any chance of respectability.
Doki Doki Trivia Club (28 pts) followed with a -2, which somehow still felt generous compared to others.
Scratch Paper People (22 pts) closed things out with a -10, because of course they did.
